OK, this is kind of morbid humor, but I don't want to forget it... ever.
We went to a private family viewing at the funeral home a few days after Dad passed away. As we got out of the van, Aaron said, "What's this place?" Daddy answered, "It's the funeral home." Aaron: "Why are we here?" Daddy: "Because this is where they took Papa's body." Aaron: "Oh........ (long pause while he thought about that) ................ Where'd they put his head?"

You just have to laugh or at least smile anyway...
That is cute. When my MIL's Dad died, they only had the top half of the casket open so she could only see his upper body. She was only six and her only memory of her Dad's funeral was running around looking for his legs. :-)
When my husband's grandma passed away, we were trying to explain to our 20 mth old that he was now in Heaven with Jesus. As we pulled into the cemetary our daughter asked us where we were. When we told her that this is where they were taking Grandpa, she gasped and said "THIS is heaven?? It certainly helped us to lighten the moment.
Out of the mouth of babes. That's what God means concerning the faith of a child. I'm glad you posted this. A merry heart doeth good like a medicine... Love you. =)
